I know a bad deal when I see it

I have been told several times in my life that I'm not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. Okay I admit I don't currently have a Ph.D. in anything. But I do know a bad deal when I see it. The government, read that as a Barrack Obama and his cronies in the House and Senate, have told us that in order to save us they have to spend over $1 trillion of money that we the taxpayers haven't even earned yet. One thing consistent about these politicians they never met a dollar of our money that they didn't enjoy spending. I heard the Treasury Secretary this morning talking about federal money. The last I looked the federal government doesn't have a job, never worked a day in its life, and the only money it has is that which it has taken by force from the taxpayers.

Let's put it a different way. If I gave you a bank account with a 1000 dollars in it and I told you that you could spend it as you see fit, do you think you would spend that money wisely or would you just take it about town throwing it down where the urge hit you? Basically that's what is happening in Washington, DC today. The government has been given a very large bank account with no strings attached. Who puts the money in that bank account? I'll give you one guess, one of them is the person you see in the mirror each morning.

Now do you really expect a bunch of politicians, many of whom never had a decent job in their lives, to spend your money wisely? Well the answer is obvious, if you bother to watch C-SPAN and watch as those pompous windbags in the House of Representatives and the Senate dawdle about attempting to sound intelligent. These men and women don't have a clue as to how to balance a budget, they don't feel the pain of spending their own money, they are spending your money just as fast as the IRS can steal if from you.

Thomas Jefferson once wrote that the tree of liberty, every so often, needs to be watered by the blood of patriots and tyrants. I fear that if the situation continues as it most certainly will, our liberty tree will begin to whether and die unless true patriots are prepared to water that tree with our own blood.

RHINOs

You know there comes a time in every politician's life when he or she needs to step up and be faithful to their professed beliefs. Over the past few days I've watched intently as the Senate grappled with the problem of how to spend almost $1 trillion of our (the taxpayers) money. I thought for a while we had them. All of the House Republicans voted against this monstrosity. Then it went to the Senate, where once again the Republicans attempted to stand up to this gargantuan spending orgy. But in the end, apparently Harry Reid offered Specter Snowe and Collins a deal too sweet to turndown. So the three turncoats turned their backs on their party and the American people and threw in with the Democrats. What they fail to realize is that the Democrats who offered them these deals will be the same Democrats who turn on the gang of three and stab them in the back and toss them to the side as not being worthy of Democrat trust since the gang of three were unfaithful to their own party. Already the three Dempublicans are beginning to feel the heat. I heard Specter on Shawn Hannity's radio program and a finer bit of tap dancing you have never heard. In the end Specters only defense was that he thought it was the best thing for the country. "Bull crap" Arlen Specter sold his soul to the devil in exchange for some unnamed benefit to himself or to the single state of Pennsylvania. The same can be said for the two senators from Maine, who also sold their souls to the devil.

Gentlemen, and ladies, it's time to circle the wagons. I recall a few months ago on Glenn Beck's radio program when he said be careful you might go to sleep on Friday and wake up Monday and find that the country as you know it has ceased to exist. I must admit that I thought his statement was a bit over the top at the time but then over the past few weeks his prophecy has come true. If I wanted to live in a socialist country I would move to Europe where they have socialized everything where their taxes are through the roof and the services they receive for those taxes are poor to say the least and nonexistent in the worst-case. I know this because I have inlaws currently residing in Germany and their constant stream of complaints about their services in exchange for the super high taxes they pay are never ending. So battened down the hatches, clean out your bank accounts (before Obama gets it) and prepare for a very very long and hard road over the next four years.

Mitch sends!
